Important Info to Start your Magic 30 Journey

Oct 20, 2022

You bought your ticket, you’ve arrived in Las Vegas, but how do you play Magic 30?

Beginning Phase

Before you draw your first card, you must visit the Health & Safety Check area located outside of the Expo Hall at World Market Center. Look for signage and the Health & Safety tent on the North Side of the front shuttle lot. Once you provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test, you will be given a fabric wristband that must be worn at all times while onsite at Magic 30. No one will be allowed to enter the Expo Hall or any building on campus without a wristband. Click here for Health & Safety Check Hours.

Untap Step

Are you an international attendee or someone who purchased their badge after September 18? If you did not receive your badge in the mail, please proceed to Will Call in the main lobby of the Expo Hall. You will need it for your very important next step! Click here for badge pick-up hours.

Upkeep Step

Once you have your badge, it’s time to get your spells in order. Proceed to the Ticketed Merch Distribution Area located outside of the Expo Hall on the North side of the building. Here is where you will receive all of the merchandise that was included with your ticket purchase.

Vigilance! Please have your badge readily available. You will need to scan your badge to receive your merch. Your badge must be activated to receive your merch, so don’t forget this important step!

Haste! We strongly encourage you to take advantage of the ticketed merch distribution hours on Thursday, October 27. You can also get your Health & Safety wristband that day! You’ll be two steps ahead of your opponents.

If you have a Black Lotus VIP badge, your merchandise will be available for pick up in the Black Lotus VIP Lounge located inside the Expo Hall. You do not need to visit the Ticketed Merch Distribution Area.

Draw Step

If you have your badge, wristband, and arrive after Magic 30 has opened, you’ll be casting at instant speed and may proceed directly into the Expo Hall from any open entrance.

Main Phase

If you arrive prior to the hours listed below, you have summoning sickness and must wait in the outside queue until the Expo Hall opens. Please look for the large tented area just outside the Expo Hall located in the front shuttle lot. You may not line up for Magic 30 prior to 8:00 AM on Friday, October 27. Staff, Crew, and security will be on hand to help direct you to the correct queue.

If you are a fan with accessibility needs, please proceed directly to the main entrance of the Expo Hall and look for the designated “ADA Queue” signage, or ask a Staff member in a black shirt for assistance.
